It’s Time for a Dose of Reality!

It’s not unusual for a church to start a second worship service, but Dove Creek Bible Church’s second service is somewhat unusual. Our second service is a worship service led by high school students for high school students called Reality. Why have a youth led worship service? Dove Creek Bible Church wanted to begin training the next generation of Christian leaders by giving them not only the opportunity, but also the responsibility of leading their own service which allows them to use their own unique gifts in serving others. Furthermore, studies show that youth led services help to form a bridge to fill the gap between high school and college (when many unfortunately begin to drop out of church). A youth led service also makes it easier for young people to invite their friends to church knowing there is a service designed especially for them. In addition to our worship service we have a mid-week time together as well which allows students to connect with friends, experience powerful worship and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Parents are also welcome to attend the Reality service if they wish to observe for themselves how this ministry is changing the lives of many young people. At DCBC we believe the role of the church in youth ministry is to support parents by providing the tools and opportunities to develop a spiritual foundation that equips each student to live out the Christian lifestyle. Our vision for Reality Ministry is to develop a community of young adults who are experiencing the joy of a relationship with God, who recognize God’s purpose for their lives, and who seek to know God more. At DCBC, we recognize the importance of inspiring the next generation for Jesus Christ and consider it both a great responsibility and an incredible privilege. Our desire is to ignite their spiritual passions while they discover their spiritual purposes!
